The building in the background is the old Well Lamont Glove Factory in Louisiana, Mo. It is the building where the Lucky Lindbergh Mural resides. You can click on the Lucky Lindbergh Mural link to read about the glove factory and view other Louisiana murals. If you look close, you will be able to see where the mural is on the building.

I liked the house also, so decided to give a two for one discount on this post. Let me know if you buy the house and move to Louisiana. I will bring donuts and coffee and perhaps a housewarming gift. Maybe even a hot toddy should you move in the winter.

Very inviting view and narrative, too, Tick. Alas, it's too far for me. :)))

I dunno Tick, that house may be wired for electricity, but it looks like it may be a home to some four legged critters right now. I have always enjoyed my homes to have boarded up windows, but this one, ah, just may be a bit too much! Its nice to see where my gloves could have come from if the factory was still operational. Thanks for the twofer, Ron.

Owd Fella Tick (OFT), thanks for the generous offer. I realize, however, that you would get a competing photographer in your area, while on the other side of the big pond there are still plenty of beautiful and interesting places to capture. If someone else signs up, I will grant him or her your offer, 😜 !

BTW: a good photo! I think the mural can be seen at the bottom right of the photo!

I would have considered your offer Tick But I don't like that cable mast and wires so close to the house. Good capture of the two buildings together.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

...I like this one...Odds are, the house was originally the home of the owner of the factory... That was often the case with some companies back in the day...It's a shame that even more modern manufacturing establishments all over the country (but especially the Midwest) have joined this old glove factory... Hence, what is now known as the "Rust Belt"...

Nice presentation, Cap'n...Faved
