This old barn door has weathered over the years giving it a unique look. No one creates textures like Mother Nature. I've been told that some people pay big money for such weather wood. I wonder if the owner realizes how cool this door looks or just checks it to see whether it is open or closed. I will post a photo of the total barn one day, but the door really caught my eye. Literally of course. I also like the siding that looks more like shingles then siding. I didn't go in because of the purple painted on the post at the top of the lane. Purple paint in my area means "No Trespassing." Maybe they can't spell, but they can sure shoot straight. Enjoy!

I wish you would stop standing outside of my Downton Abbey home taking pictures, Tick. Crime is high in my neighborhood and your excellent photos may cause me to lose my rabbit traps. If you persist, you may find some buckshot coming your way! I may not have much, as your picture clearly shows, but it is all I have.

Quite a unique find, it would have caught my eye too. Sometimes a person wonders how these old structures stood up as long as they did.

Owd Fella Tick (OFT), you're right, but lot of people are apparently seeing blind, because the by Mother Nature created artworks aren't often noticed. Happily you, with your keen eyes, are an exception to the rule.
Hope that this artwork isn't spoiled by giving it a new paint.
'Maintenance' (please notice the quotation marks) would be a disaster, 😜 !
