It is always a sign of Spring in my part of the world when the Robins return from their winter hiatus. I spotted this couple in my back yard Sunday, February 23rd. It is supposed to snow tonight, so they might wish they had waited a few more days. It looks like he is trying to pull a shady move on her. Time will tell how his moves worked.

Still too cold for a honeymoon Tick. He is sort of sizing her up to see the reaction. Nice shot.

He does seem to be wooing her. I have a small bit advice for him. A quote from W.C. Fields, "Never try to impress a woman, because if you do she'll expect you to keep up the standard for the rest of your life."

I'll keep my eye out for them now that you have seen these brave birds. Cute capture, but I believe I'll have to wait quite a while before I see any. Thanks for getting my hopes up though.

Owd Fella Tick (OFT), I really hope that you can provide us soon with an image in which the title is changed from 'Table for two' into 'Dinner for two', indicating that Spring has returned in your part of the world too.
Very cute capture of these robins.

What I really, really like about this scene is your composition, the birdies of course, but especially the background and the textures. Excellent.

Around here when you see the robins then Spring has sprung. They get busy cleaning the newly emerged insects out in the fields and things. It is not unusual to see one wrestling a long worm out of the ground. They go from lean and mean to fat butterballs. As of yet, I haven't seen any around. You must have a tougher variety of robins up there, Tick.
