This is what it has been like in my town since the Pandemic started and people were asked to practice social distancing. There are five churches in our little town. Three are doing Facebook, one is closed and the one I attend is still open. I chose not to attend, so I can't speak to what precautions they are taking. There is a stay at home order in place in Missouri, but since there haven't been any cases in my county, some folks are pretty lax. The Courthouse has been closed, schools closed, restaurants only serving takeout, Senior Nutrition Site Closed, beauty shops just closed this week, banks closed their lobbies and Nursing Home closed to visitors just to mention a few. I hope there is not a tragedy that affects one, because it will most likely spread to many. Iowa which is only nine miles to the north from our town is pretty much business as usual. To use the local language: "Some people don't pay attention until the Rooster comes home to roost." I will pray for my neighbors as the Bible instructs us to do.

Happy and a Safe Easter to one and all.

Tick, it is very frustrating when you see people ignoring the use of restraint for their protection and for the protection of others.

Here is a comment from a meme I saw on Facebook, "They say you can't fix stupid. Turns out you can't quarantine it either!"

I will be doing church on Facebook again this week. I am pretty sure a prayer will be said by all of us for our fellow citizens, including the ones void of common sense.

Very well said Tick, in my opinion for what it counts I think the entire country should have been shut down right away, all at once, and what really got me was the governor of Georgia, who claims he did not know anything about shutting down, really! I don't buy it one bit, or how about the states that allowed spring break to happen, all for all mighty dollar! Stay safe, and stay healthy. Have a nice Easter, even though we have to deal with this. tigz=^..^=

It is so sad that we can not enjoy our normal Easter morning at church. The Arch Bishop of Ontario and our Dean are doing it on line.

In Greece we celebrate Easter next Sunday. We also have to cope with being at home, but surely it is worth it. It is with our hearts and hopes that can generate the strength we need to cope. Wishing you a Happy Easter, and the patience to come through this. A lovely scene of the church. Stay safe and with good health.

It is pretty serious in our parts at the moment...the death toll is rising, and 'bum-holes' still flout the regulations by going to the beaches etc..Our police have the options at the moment to fine them on the spot, arrest them if arrogant, or hand them a summons with a hefty fine...It is a bit heart-breaking when we cannot visit our grandchildren at this special Easter-time to watch them hunt for their Easter Eggs.
Keep well and stay safe.

Owd Fella Tick (OFT), in my small country we are dealing with almost the same circumstances as you describe in your narrative, with the understanding that there are many sick people and many deaths.

Let us not lose heart, and pray that the almighty will deliver us from this misery.

Anyhow, I wish you a Happy Easter.

Take care, stay safe and healthy!

Everything closed here except supermarkets, pharmacies and hospitals.
With no cars on the roads except essential deliveries we can hear the birdsong, we can her conversations 3 properties away, and we all long for the day we can safely be out and about again.I miss my children, my grandchildren and my friends. And like most of us I am afraid but hopeful. And I cry for those that are not so fortunate.

Happy Easter !

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

A good photo that goes well with your narrative. Here the police have to control because especially teenagers behave stupidly and ignore the rules of lock down. You are lucky where you are with no corona infections near by.

Really nice post of your church and narrative as well Tick - we are all hopeful that the virus will be contained sooner rather than later - here in Jersey, we are experiencing lockdown - the northern part of New Jersey is a hot spot due to its dense population - I live in south Jersey where we are more spread out - not many cases, but must still practice mitigation - Take Care Everyone - Stay Safe - Stay Healthy

The case everywhere in the US...We're definitely feeling the same COVID-19 situation here...

Meanwhile, the Chinese Government continues to cover their "behinds"... It would seem that they're not "owning up" to the initial start of the pandemic at all!

Typical...Sounds familiar in this world, doesn't it?

You know, they're the most "Capitalist - Communist country" I've ever heard of!

Anyway, good presentation and message, Cap'n...Faved
