We had to go grocery shopping Friday and I drove through this town on the way to the store. It is in Unionville, Missouri and pictured is the Putnam County Courthouse and some placards with photos. The placards contain the photos and names of the 2020 graduates from Putnam County High School. Because of the Pandemic, they will not be holding traditional High School Graduation ceremonies. Their Commencement has been canceled. They will not get the thrill of being handed their diploma with their peers and families present. Another victim of Covid 19.

It is a shame that they will not have graduation or senior prom. But, I do like this creative idea to picture them lining the areas near the road so that people can see them and honor their achievement. I hope they piped "Pomp and Circumstance" out of the building on as many speakers they could find and cranked up to the max!

Very nice work on your collage Tick - it's so sad that the 2020 graduates will not be able to look forward to graduation day a most important and notable event in their young lives - let's hope this scourge ends soon - Stay Safe!!!!!!!!

I think this was a great idea by the high school. It's such a memorable time that these young people have lost out on - I can't imagine the depth of their disappointment.

Pity, we can't have so many things now. I hope it's ending soon. Take care, stay safe, Tick.

So sad...A good piece of journalistic work here..our schools are slowly doing things for the 'younger' ones...they now have times to go and get school work for them to do at home...

Owd Fella Tick (OFT), this is an inventive alternative for not being capable to hold the traditional High School Graduation ceremonies because of the Covid19 (Corona) pandemic.
Think that many countries around the world are dealing with the same. One of my grandsons is graduated from a preliminary school for the university. Think his diploma will be delivered by the postman, 😜 (!)
Very good photojournalism entry. Kudos, 👍 !

Looks to be a nice way to honor the students. Makes a good suggestion to other schools too. Nice capture.

It is nice to honor these graduates for they spent there time to earn the degree and let us not forget the families that will also miss such memorable times because of this pandemic because they were working behind the scenes to get them this far. I have missed events because of it as I am sure all of you may have as well. I am more glad that they are not counted as casualties. You are very thoughtful Tick.

An outstanding collage and wonderful way to display the class of 2020. It is so sad they can't really enjoy their last year in high school
