Warm weather, feelings of isolation and the failing economy are some of the reasons given as some parts of the world are opening the doors for business. Most of the individual states in the USA have some sort of reopening plan, as they try to recover from the Pandemic that has held the world captive. There are opinions for opening and also opinions for not opening. I hope these early tests of the water doesn't lead to more deaths and set back what progress has been made. Let's hope we don't reflect and realize we opened too early. Only time will tell.

What strange times these are. As many know, this whole thing could have been much worse in many ways. At the moment, I am treading water as far as money goes, but even if I could afford to live indefinitely on unemployment, that's no way to live despite that way before this happened, I stayed inside 98 percent of the time anyhow.

I hope your picture of a pool of water without ripples will turn out to be a metaphor for the governors as they open up their states again. As with the reflections in the pool's waters, they are in opposition to the scene they represent, you have shown us both sides of the problem at hand.

Tempting but you cannot and may not jump in. Opening everything will be a reckless action as you will agree. Nice photo Tick.

Plans of reopening may have some strong ripples with it. It means some may have to enter the workforce again whether it is safe or not. In essence, they will bring you to the water and push you in. I know of some workplaces that have not shut down. There are big numbers of workers there as well. I pray for them all the time. That kind of job...I just don't see how they could social distance. I am blessed to have retired since December. By the way, Tick, I like your picture.

My gut feeling is they are moving too fast but only time will tell - hopefully it won't be a sad tale. Your shot is very apt for your narrative.

Some restrictions are beginning to ease here too..Although 'personally' I/We still think it is too early...

Our local hospital is still inundated with Covid cases..while at the same time those that need treatments for other symptoms cannot get appointments.
They are talking about schools going back in 3 weeks???..and opening non-essential stores!....
A good choice of picture to 'reflect' all this...

Owd Fella Tick (OFT), I think that governments are faced with dilemmas that you describe perfectly in your narrative.
Schools have reopened in Denmark and this has led to an increase in infections and deaths. The schools in my country will partly reopen in mid-May. The Danish result leads to heated debate whether or not this is a responsible decision. The proponents argue that the current situation cannot continue because then we will not die from the disease but from the outcome of an ever-deteriorating economic situation. What is wisdom? Who knows may say!

Too many rules and forbidden things. It's a temptation to test the water. Nice work, Tick.

...Still a bit chilly for "pooling" around where I reside, and the beaches are all closed...

--- Personally I think all this "re-opening" stuff is still a bit premature, as there are now additional reported cases as a result...

Nice presentation...Faved...
