Looks like you rescued it from the duckweed bin just in time... That's a beautiful bird, and the green of all that duckweed makes a great backdrop for him...

I really like the way the light is hitting the Ibis SK. It looks like a rainbow. The duckweed makes the perfect backdrop. Excellent post.

Strange this because I was just looking at glossy ibis the other day, I didn't know they exist. Apparently the glossy green only comes in adulthood. They're beautiful birds and you did a fantastic job of capturing the iridescent feathers on this one. Love the way you've photographed it against the bright green of the pond weed too.
