When I went outside yesterday, I found this little critter just enjoying the sun and by the time I got back, he was gone. Maybe he stayed just to be captured by the lens ;) Thanks for coming by and I appreciate all of your support and comments. Anita

What an excellent shot! The detail is wonderful - it's a great closeup. I've never seen a caterpillar like this. I wonder what kind of butterfly or moth he turns into? He's very cute!

Fascinating creature, and you certainly do know how to do composition! Colors are lovely, too, as is the sharp focus on the caterpillar and the blurred background. All just right!

His coloring does indeed live up to your title Anita.I don't believe I've seen a catepillar like this. I don't think he's doing too good of a job try to blend in with the leaves LOL. So glad you spotted this little guy and shared him with us.

I had the good fortune of meeting this little guy in the voting booth, and he was among one of my favorite candidates from the word "go" :) In fact when I first saw it, because of the wonderful job of blending in with the surrounding green and even though he's a bit hairy, at first blush I thought that the markings on the side of him were him, and that the green was part of the bush he was on....your clarity, as has been noted by all is perfect and your composition here couldn't be improved upon. :)PJ

What an adorable little guy. I guess he's going to turn into a moth. He sure does blend well with his environment. Luckily you saw him there. I caught a wooly bear the other day too. Maybe this is the season for moth caterpillars. You shot is very cute and very clear.
