This little guy was so quiet and almost hiding from everyone. He's actually my first attempt at a bird -- other than the baby mockingbird that couldn't fly so I had him pegged and the ones behind glass at the zoo ;) I renamed him "Songbird" in honor of Muggsy ;) As always, thanks for taking a peek here today and enjoy. Anita

Spectacular post, Anita! One of your very best, in fact. This is absolutely wonderful. Everything is so clear right down to the moss on the fence post. The bird is beautiful. Thanks, Anita. Great job.

I wouldn't know that it was the first attempt if you wouldn't have told me. Very good and your capture of his expression is, as they say "priceless". Thanks for sharing.

How lovely, Anita. It looks to me like a painting ..it has such an otheworldly feel to it, yet it is absolutely real in every way. I can't figure out how you did it, but that doesn't matter as you know how, and I get to see the results :)PJ

Anita, I try to get pictures of birds so often, and most of them are not worth being kept on my computer. I look up to you, since you made a phantastic image of this bird. I do not know, if this is your best shot, but for sure, it is one of the bests.

Your much too modest dear Lady ... your gallery is full of bird pictures. Perhaps it would be more accurate to say your first capture of a "songbird". In any case you've posted a WONDERFUL pic of this Mockingbird. You "pegged" this songster perfectly. Must be seen full screen to see just how well you did. Capturing him so clearly perched on that post is a beautiful piece of photography. Superb Anita and one for my favorites.
