This really gives you the true flavor of the streets of an urban city. He seems to be enjoying his photo being taken by you. I think anyone would. I notice the background signs in local language, but the bag by man is written in English. That also looks like Coke bottle. What a beautiful accordian and I can almost hear Christmas carols being played. Good photo Sabine and I hope you do well.

This is indeed a nice photo. You might want to consider getting closer to your subject though. With individual people shots it's always much more dramatic if your subject fills the whole (or largest part) of the frame.

The man has a very expressive face, but it's slightly lost in the surroundings.

I must agree. It is a nice photo, but it is a little busy. Too many distractions. The technical elements a great, but the mental focus is a little soft.

Sabine, I give you my straight forward and honest opinion. Nice image but I assume that #1 for the contest is far better than this one. To me, and that's quite similar as said above (mainly by '&Crusader'), the enviroment got in relation to the subject matter too much attention and is therefore to a certain extend even disturbing.
