I spotted this old GMC truck poking out of a barn. The surrounding area is faded to B/W but the multi-colored hues of the truck remain untouched.

Though the old truck has seen many miles, judging from the tires, it is taken out in the fields and woods . The selective color is very effective in this image. Welcome to Caedes - I look forward to seeing more posts. Thad

A good eye for the historic. Not every successful photo is of a "purty" subject; I like to see reality in photography just as much as "calendar perfect" photos. And I agree with Thad concerning the selective color in this photo; it works well. I think, however, a little more of the surroundings would have given even more emphasis to the truck and a larger image than 800x530 would serve better as a monitor background wallpaper, which is the main point of this site. Also, growing up in the 50s and 60s, and diggin' the Beatles as a favorite group since they formed, I really like the concept behind your site name and avatar. Welcome to the site (and pay no attention to some of the angst you might come across here - the vast majority of people you'll meet here are very good and talented folks to know - the two commenting before me, Tom and Thad, are good examples).
