Is this better Tick?? My entry for the "People" contest:) I took this photo in around 1846/47, can't quite remember.........been so long:)) Of course they had paved roads back then:):)
Huuuuummm Bruce a very good entry for people contest a very rare picture have a Gun man very fast becaus he has to cross draw his gun righthand to left hip not many of those so a very good capture of this fast gun man.
The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
Perfecto, BB. It looks like the school marm has landed her a gunfighter. I bet the kids behave in class now. It really looks old and you did a great job of making it look that way. Excellent contest entry and good luck.
She's smiling & the gunman has a somber / serious look ... it's definitely what I'd expect from a photo of that era. Love the sepia treatment. Excellent contest entry ... best of luck, Bruce.
Bruce you created a beautiful picture. The sepia treatment fits well in the shot. You lose yourself to a time when a man was a man and a women was a women. Good job my friend.
So I go though all the trouble of removing all those aged spots, nicks and scratches from the old family photos to make them look good; and you go through all the trouble to add them. One of us is doing something wrong. This must be the sheriff and the school marm he's rather partial to posing in front of the town jail. Not much of a hanging tree behind them though. That's not pavement, that is very fine cobblestone work. Good post work on your photo, Bruce.
Bruce Thats some smooth looking cobblestone. So smooth that it looks a little like 1840s cobblephalt! You certainly look the part and just a tad younger too! Great entry for the contest! Paul
I've searched for your name in the Guinness book of records, Bruce, but couldn't find it, lol.
Nice photograph from people in the time of 'How the West was won'.
Good entry for the contest. Good Luck.
Regards, Cornelius.
