Another shot near Aņo Nuevo State Park from 4 years ago. I really was enthralled with this unusual rock formation so I share it with you:) Enjoy:) ALERT!! ALERT!! I just remembered this was taken near Santa Cruz, not Aņo Nuevo SP!! Does it really matter though?:):)

:-) at Ticks comment. That is a strange formed rock. You have captured it very well. Clear and with great colors.

Without surrounding sea/ocean it would have been perhaps a dull rock, Bruce.

Although it don't even move an inch, it's a dynamic one now!

Well captured.

Regards, Cornelius.

I love it! My imagination is going wild, but all I can say is that something... a horse or a porpoise...somehow got into the waters of the Bermuda Triangle just above the huge, buried, crystal at the moment when it was turned on. This is a the periodic "ping" from the aliens afar on their own planet...and it did something to the beast's genetic makeup. No-one knows how long ago that was...could have been a year, or 100,000 years. This beast is alive, but so motionless that it is impossible to tell...its heart beats, but slowly, it breathes, but once a night, and so on...

The thing that caught my eye first was actually the color of the water. I've traveled the Pacific Coast from San Diego to Washington and have rarely seen such a beautiful color. You really hit this area on a gorgeous day. The surfers might not be happy with the size of the waves, but it looks like a wonderful day for kayaking and enjoying the sites from the ocean looking towards the land. Maybe it's the tides and currents around Morro Rock, but there's no visibility in the murky waters around here.

As for that immense alligator with severe acne, nice capture with no motion blur.

"Does it really matter though?" It will matter to the next person who gets attacked when they thought they were perfectly safe near Santa Cruz. And think of the damage you've done to the reputation of Aņo Nuevo SP. To say nothing of the numerous grants being mislabeled for funding to study this sea monster. So maybe next time Bruce you'll think twice and shoot responsibly.
Pretty darn cool capture, Bruce. Lovely colours and lighting in the scene.
