Bruce, as long as the Covid-19 (Corona) pandemic isn't complete over yet, all events are cancelled or delayed. So a pretty boring town now.
It's very appreciable that Caedes-members like you try to prevent the 'emptiness' because of this, from point of activity, boring period by posting very fine and interesting contributions.

Well, Bruce, a number of people on staff where my son works, all of which are on the same crew, are now isolating with Covid, most likely the Delta variant because all but one of them were already vaccinated. That and the fact that they are mostly in their twenties does not bode well for society. The only thing those people who refuse to be vaccinated are accomplishing is to perpetuate the pandemic, with new and hardier variants like the one now appearing in South Africa. Most fast food places are drive up only, mainly because the staff numbers are so low because people are refusing to go to work so they do not get infected. Some places are closing shop again, while grocery and supply stores have some empty shelves because production is down. I am retired so I work on my house and yard, read a lot, occasionally drop my kayak on the river, and stay clear of people, so I have no idea what everyone else is doing. I do live in a red state, though, so I am surrounded by science deniers who enjoy getting together, in groups. Those ^infectaparties^ are pretty much the only social events going on now, so, to answer your question, nothing, nix, nada.

Now, as to your image here, my always-twisted interpretation would be what a Starbucks logo might look like on the planet Erid, on the 40 Eridani system in Andy Weirs new book, ^Project Hail Mary^, that I just finished reading, minutes ago. For any who enjoy science fiction, Weirs first book was ^The Martian^, from which the Matt Damon film was made. I say Starbucks because the shape looks like six wild-looking coffee cups, minus handles. The Erdians have a normal body temperature of over 400 degrees F, so holding a hot coffee cup would not bother them in the least. Also, their math is a base-six system (while ours is a ten-base). As usual, I zoomed in close to enjoy all the cool details you put into these images.
