At this time of year, that's not a problem Bruce, because the grass hardly grows anymore. But in the growing season, extreme caution is required to preserve these wonderful sculptures. I'm thinking of cutting the grass around these beautiful totem poles by hand (with grass shears). It takes some effort, but these beautiful creations are worth it, Buddy!
If you think you can't accept something, try to change it. But if this doesn't work, don't be frustrated, but give it later another try. The one who perseveres wins!

Sad to say they have now grown on our lawn, despite the advice to desists from mowing ! Maybe this is the wrong area for totems. I do really like the crystal liquidity of this image
