This is at the parking garage for the Chabot Space & Science Center in Oakland, Ca. I love how ivy climbs the walls of everything it's near:):)

Bruce, although ivy isn't a flower, your capture did me think about the title of THIS SONG.
A colorful sight. I've ivy on the outer walls of my house too, but in contradiction with you, I don't love anymore how ivy climbs my walls. Because of my limited physical condition now, it's difficult to control its growth. In addition, the color of my ivy remains green, instead of beautiful red as in your photograph. This doesn't take away from the fact that I enjoy your beautiful capture, Buddy!

Looks great on structures, softening the construction lines. Nearly the entire south exterior wall of my brick house is covered by Clematis ivy and wild grapes, practically climbing into the trees. It also keeps that end of the house a bit cooler in summer. I have had numerous opportunities to look closely at the very end of the tendrils and they are almost like miniature hooks and tough as wire.
