We came across this while visiting San Pablo Harbor awhile back-the same place with the tiled "gator". This is about 8' high. Very cool! Thanks for your comments. The plaque explains why/what/how:):)

Bruce, this is a very fine capture of a 9 ft wide 9ft tall climbable steel sculpture created by Michael Christian.
If one is curious like me, one could check-out this link to see more of the amazing artworks of this sculptor.

Wild, unusual, and very interesting, one that can easily draw long concentrated study. What i*m really curious about is where are the bird nests? My guess is that this piece is regularly cleaned of nesting materials, spider webs, blown in leaves and other detritus. Good catch, Bruce.
