Nice to see you around again Dimps. It looks like the insect is hovering. Such a clear shot of it and I love the soft focus in the background. Great returning photo.

What a really good picture Jan. I'm very impressed with this. You obviously spent hours waiting for the hover fly to be in the perfect position?

Look, Jan,
nobody of them 'all-knowing' persons realised that this is the same as I shot. [my post for OB]
Not any bee but a kind of bee - something in between wasp and bee - when my friend comes back, we will know its name in POlish, English and Latin.
Same quality of wings I am proud to say !!!

Reading Owd Bob comment above, I feel sorry to say that this kind of a drone fly (eristalis tenax) hasn't a sting.
Beautiful image anyhow Jan.
Regards, Cornelius.

Hello Jan! It´s nice to see you back and posting again. I love the way you have focused on the flying insect and the flower is blurred in the background. Excellent work!

This is an amazing shot. You did a great job of getting the little insect perfectly clear, and the background slightly blurred. LOVE it.
