You have your choice....you can sit on the steps, at the picnic table or on a bench, but in 100°F you won't be sitting there long! The building say "Livery" on the side, but it's actually restrooms.
See, I told you! You can make even rest rooms look great! At 100 degrees, I see why there aren't many people. We know you suffered for your art on this day.
Horses have rest rooms!...I could live with 100°F..As long as the humidity was low..Used to touch 130°F in the Gulf of Aden but it was bone dry..Nice picture Jim...R.
100°!!!!! I don't envy poor Frank having to walk back and forth behind those mules all day. No wonder he wasn't smiling. And you walked around and snapped off how many pictures in that heat and humidity. You really are a glutton for pain. Maybe it's that agony that gives these postings their character. That's enough suffering. Don't even think about cutting off your ear, Vincent.
I grew up in the Midwest and know that 100° feels like 300° because of the humidity. It'll be 100° here today but the humidity will be almost nothing. Once the winds come up this afternoon, it'll be an excellent time to start an illegal camp fire. High winds, low humidity and temperatures around 100° can be a lethal combination. But think of the fabulous shots I could post from prison.
Love that sky. Can I borrow a few of those clouds?
When it's hot I tend to drink plenty of fluids. So, I think I'll sit on the bench ... its closer to the restrooms. A fantastic capture Jim ... I like the composition & colors.
Some people have Gurus, I have my camera. Through the cam lenses I have learnt to deeply perceive life, not only to see, but to look at all expressions of nature, becoming able to read the poetry of the flowers, receiving the embrace of the trees and flying above the clouds without wings! - Susie Sun
You have done it once again, brought a beautiflly finished capture of the wonderful place, thank you for dealing with the heat, it sure did not hamper you and camera. Tigs♥ =^..^=
I thought it was mad dogs and Englishmen who go out in the mid-day sun Jim!!! ha ha Although it was a hot day, it didnt detract from the quality of your images that day. This being one of them. Well done! Ann
So how many have been born in the "Livery Room," JimboB? I see you were the only one out in the heat. Unless of course you sent them packing with the clone tool. I see brochures are available for other touristy things to do in this area. FDR suits it well.
