I spent two hours yesterday at the lake shooting the single male swan. I ended up with nothing that's even 10% as good as this. I need details of what you do to bring out the details and depth in those feathers. This shot is beautifully detailed. The composition is spot on. Your water's not green like it is here, but I can live with that. Remember...details, details details. Thanks.
P.S. Could be that my shots didn't work because I had my camera and lens set on trombone swan. Turns out it was a tenor saxophone swan.
Agree with Richie, Jimbob. Very difficult to achieve a good result with this white color against an almost black background, but you've succeeded very well. Very fine post, mate!
Wonderful work again JimboB. I wish all of his head was in the reflection, but it is not a deal breaker as they say. Details are fabulous and Satchmo would love it.
Some people have Gurus, I have my camera. Through the cam lenses I have learnt to deeply perceive life, not only to see, but to look at all expressions of nature, becoming able to read the poetry of the flowers, receiving the embrace of the trees and flying above the clouds without wings! - Susie Sun
This is a very nice pice. :) And sort of elegant to. I wonder, how would it look if it was saturated or someting like that? Like just enough to make the colors contrast more? You can just play around with the idea. :)
