Stonehenge is probably the most important prehistoric monument in the whole of Britain....I suppose we shall never know what has drawn people here over the centuries....Maybe by looking at the pictures viewers may be able to give me some answers....Please enjoy.

I imagine the fact that we know so little about it is one of the reasons. Beautiful shot.

A magical shot Mick, I think this is the best I have seen of Stonehenge yet as it really gives and air of mystery to it. My recent one was taken early in the morning and now I wish I had been there at night but to get a sunset like that is extra special. I found it a very mysterious place, and unlike some was not a bit disappointed.

Can't shed any light on your enigma Mick, and at the moment I have my own poser to resolve. Which do I like more in this image ... the sharp silouette of Stonehenge or that marvelous sky you managed to capture behind. This may take a while ... best you move on to something else.

Hi Mick,
I wish i had a penny for every time i've been past these stones. I was stationed at Andover for a couple of years. I used to get detailed to night duties during the Summer Soltice, to keep the ' hippies ' off the stones. This is a truely remarkable shot Mick. I saved it.Like the rest of humanity, i'm still in the dark as to the true purpose of the stones. Its my daughters 30th. birthday party tonight, i'll have a ' tot ' for you. I can't say Nelson's Blood, as her married name is Nelson. Thanks for a memorable shot.
