I think it spotted a tasty looking worm ,great looking photography of a stunning looking bird and wish we had them in the UK.Plus lovely detail colours and composition too.
This Image GRABBED my EYE. That's Why I Stopped By. Thanks For Sharing ! Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience
Don't bother checking ΘΘJethro. The answer is NO! Your Blue Jay seems to be a detective on a case. He is trying to find out who the feather belongs to and what happened. Inspector Jay Clouseau thinks perhaps the bird was attacked by a Pink Panther. Sweet shot and mark it exhibit A for the upcoming trial.
Like Raj says, this bird species is unknown at the east side of the big pond.
Your image is crystal clear and good Marsha. I enjoy it very much.
Like to say something about Bob's comment: If this is a feather of Fred indeed, I understand why the Owd Mucker is still hungry. To fly to the west side of the big pond and back, Fred has lost almost all his weight. When Bob was ready with plucking Fred, he must have been rather disappointed, lol.

They beautiful, noisy birds, and make good photo opts, if they will stay put long enough. You did good on this one Marsha, even caught some eye glint, good job! Tigs♥ =^..^=
All them Europeans already have said what I wanted to... Such birds would make fine models here on this side of the pond as our agent SEAS says. But then again, even if they arrive to Europe, they would doubtlessly stop in the UK... Better climate. Eh, as we Poles say: The wind always blows in the eyes of the poor. Meaning always my own eyes! Yours truly Eeyore
They are a beautiful bird, and you have captured this one beautifully, Marsha. I find them very hard to photograph though, because they never sit still.
