Well dear Lady ... this is painful for me. I think from your title and those 3 queries in your narrative, you had suspicions from the start. So to be succinct I will answer your questions with ... Yes - Yes - Yes and Yes! I don't feel this measures up to the consistant quality of flower posts that fill your gallery and my favorites. I will now hit the post button and immediately wash my fingertips for having typed such a dismal comment on a good friends submission. Honesty is not all it's cracked up to be. :)
Considering that Valentine's Day is just around the corner, I think it works. The only thing that I think would improve it would be if the frame was a little smaller and darker.
A little too pinkiferous for me! I'd lose the outer frame and keep the inner, but move it out to take the place of the outer (does that make sense?). The rose itself is fine.
I much appreciate all the comments I receive about my images, but please excuse me if I don't always reply. My interest in Caedes is exceeding my time available!
If you mean as a gag, Lyn then it is okay. Otherwise in my honest opinion the color is over-saturated, the drops are a bit too many and that outer frame is just too much. Well there you are, you asked and you got an honest answer.
Keep on playing though, I enjoy watching your skills evolve and watch you step out of your comfort zone , experiment and then throw yourself to the hungry crowd. That is a bold move Eve. A true photographer who is hungry for knowledge! You go girl!
I love the colors, the drops and the flower coming out of the frame ! It gives a kind of life to the scene !
I would venture saying that I would not have chosen such a color for the frame !
Well done as usual !

Think your question is not that relevant as the choice of image frame and colours is primary up to you Lyn. But you are asking for our opinion: I don't like pink that much, so according my personal taste this image has somewhat too much pink.

I think it is great! The hot pink frame with the shadow over the darker inner frame gives it depth and the look of a shadow box frame.... and I like pink. Not all pinks have to be pastel & delicate!
It comes off as over-saturated and a little bright in the gamma. No, I don't think you could ever have to many water droplets..I could be wrong though as I've been wrong before.

Now that IS pink!! Too much for me but as Fogz says, some girls are going to love it! It has a strong 80's feel to it I think, and there's an 80's revival going on right now after all!
