Part of The Remarkables mountain range, Queenstown, New Zealand - over 2234 metres. This was taken at 7.02pm, just two minutes before THIS ONE and from the same position. Althought the clarity of the mountains is not the best I thought it made a pleasant picture, and taking into consideration the distance I think my FZ zoom did its job ok :) I cropped off about one third of the sky as there seemed to be too much blue. Opinions welcome.

A remarkable photo of the Remarkables with the harsh mountains against the softly lit sky!

Lyn, you've got a winner here. the composition ond the colors are terrific and I agree with your decision to to crop the sky. Very dramatic and well done!

You're right Lyn, although the clarity of the mountains may not be the best, think your primary goal is to show us an impressive and 'remarkable' scene. To me you've achieved your goal, as it's just a splendid image.

"Too much blue"!!!
Never such a thing has been heard in all the realms of this Grand Design! Can't ever be too much blue Lyn. :) So says Mr Azure. Love the photo, the colours rock.

Another great one Lyn. It is amazing how the sky can change in the flick of a finger. Very good composition and the presentation is perfect as usual. Should get high marks.

It looks like somewhere Jesus would hang out, with those bright fluffy clouds above the drama of the mountains. Your camera was certainly up to the challenge, and the slight lack of clarity doesn't matter - it's all in the shapes and colours.
