Cape Barren Geese (Cereopsis novaehollandiae) are native to Australia. They appear to be going for a swim but they actually rarely swim. . . . Taken at Werribee Park Open Zoo, Australia with Panasonic DMC-FZ7. . Thank you for viewing, comments and opinions very welcome and appreciated.

I hate to tell Owd Timer but that would be a Guck. They look like they have went through many species changes over vast time of history. I think the quail has bred the enjoyment of swimming out of them.

Beautiful presentation of this different looks species.

Well, they appear to 'like' water anyway. lol Such a lovely family and you have given them post card appeal. Such fine use of the tools at your employ in these wonderfully framed images. I'll have to steal this idea! lol

Those babies look like little skunks parading along, but they are precious. Nice capture. For me the image could be a little darker.

awww lovely shot - I especially like the way the two adults are glancing at each other. I was wondering if it would be better with a darker exposure, but the subject of the photograph is lovely.
