I felt priviledged to be this close to this Southern White Rhinoceros ( Ceratotherium simumsimum ) at Werribee Open Range Zoo, Australia. I have cropped the image a little but did not use any zoom for the shot. How brave I was! Well, not really as I was safely viewing from a safari vehicle :)This Rhinoceros is predominantly found in South Africa. It is the largest of the five species of rhinoceros and is also known as the ‘square-lipped Rhinoceros’ because of its wide, straight upper lip that enables it to graze. Taken with Panasonic DMC-FZ7. Thanks for viewing. Your comments are always welcome and appreciated.

Both image and presentation are wonderful again, Lyn. It's like the rhino steps out of my monitor. Have fast to move my keyboard to another place in order to prevent if from pulverizing, lol.

This is an incredible piece of work Lyn! Apart from going straight to faves, what you've done here with the frame creates a 3 dimensional image. How on earcth did you do it? Your casual narrative implies a novice, but your presentation is one of a master! Which is it?

I love it Lyn. the composition is great and what you have done with the border around the picture is a stylistic feature that makes this photo just fabulous.

I can still see Owd Timer walking around with a Rhino Horn so to speak. lol. I love the framing like everyone else. I think you should do a tute. Clarity is spot on as are the colors.

Excellent post Lyn.
