Winter sunset, North Otago coast, New Zealand. Taken with Canon 450D. The setting sun behind me warms this scene, but not my bare feet in the cold sea :) On this July day there was frozen seaweed on the beach. Thanks for viewing, comments always appreciated and valued :)

It's so weird to see huge mountains in the background with the waves crashing up on the shoreline. This is beauty in itself. Wonderful job!

Hard to think of anything frozen in July, except for the Popsicles in the icebox. LOL. Gorgeous dramatic shot, Lyn.

Fantastic shot Lyn - the way the foaming waves are lit up by the sun and the scene behind with the hills/mountain range and that sky all look so lovely.

Lyn - The horizontal bands of color, texture, and light in this photo are exceptional. Adding the black border top and bottom finishes it perfectly. So well done! Thad

Horizontal lines in your composition is great, Lyn! The crashing waves have very smooth lines. You have great eye! Take care to your feet about cold waters! ;)

Holy cow! Lines, lines, and more lines, with textures folded in. An amazing photo in an amazing land, Lyn, capturing this in limited light is a real coup, and your top and bottom framing gives it an even more elongated character, stretching those lines to the limit. Excellent work! Faved and saved for my "water" screen saver. Kia Ora.
