One of the largest gothic churches in Otago, St Luke's Anglican Church in Oamaru is registered by the New Zealand Historic Places Trust as a Category I structure. It was constructed in three stages between 1865 and 1912.
This is directly opposite Jones Park where my other post today is taken. I was busy snapping the dahlias and only thought to look across the road to the church just before leaving so I grabbed a quick shot. Sometimes we need to remember to look around or glance behind :)

This is so nice! I like how the plantings are decorating that wall. I have learned to look every which way when carrying the camera. :)

I wish I was a Glow Worm, a Glow Worm's never glum, 'cause how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?

Beautiful structure and well landscaped LE. Like crossing the street, look both ways.

The wall almost draws your eye more than the church, but it is also though. Beautiful photo.

I've been watching this one for a while and realized that one of the many things I like about it is--besides the architecture, lighting, etc.--your composition. I know many people will mention composition as a plus but what I'm seeing as your composition's main strength is the trees in the foreground rising to right, while the steeple in the background rising to the left. Crossed diagonals in an image, like these, are like triangles in construction. Nothing floats in this image. Nothing gets away from the eye and therefore overlooked. Nice work, Mrs. Robinson. ;oD

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
