I think they were dancing - as daisies often do in the dusky hour :)
If you tiptoe very quietly to where you know they are, you may be lucky enough to see the 'daisy dance' and hear their joyful song . . .

Lyn, to me you're right. I suppose that these daisies have copied some human behavior: people don't go to a ball in the morning, but in the evening, 😁 .
