Yesterday, 27th August was Daffoldil Day in New Zealand, the day the Cancer Society holds its annual Street Appeal. Because we are in total lockdown due to a Covid-19 Delta outbreak it could not happen this year. We are being asked to donate online and they say "Cancer doesn't stop, and with your help, we won't either." My thoughts are with all those fighting cancer and those who have been touched in any way by it. That probably includes the majority of us. Kia Kaha, stay strong.

I've thought about one too and looked but didn't know how much I would actually use it - this is another gorgeous shot.

As a fifteen-year survivor, I appreciate the sentiment, Lyn, the flowers, and your beautifully composed photo of them. That foil is working well.

Lyn, your beautiful photograh and narrative takes me back to the day I lost my beloved dear wife to cancer.
I sincerely hope that the New Zealand people will spontaneously participate in the online fundraising to fight this terrible disease.

Thanks, for this, to me, emotional post!
