THE CAMERA'S ONLY JOB is to get out of the way of making photographs. It's entirely an artist's eye, patience, and skill that makes an image. ~Ken Rockwell VISIT MY GALLERY

Interesting...the sun is shining, light the first portion of the photograph, and yet the sky continues to build with dark clouds, perfect setting for a storm? haha...Great composition :)
Now if you were a meteorologist, everyone wouldn't mind the weather report because you'd make it sound so good! Beautiful image, Pat. I love the way you got down low to place the emphasis on the sky and the clouds or was that grass really tall? Either way it's a terrific shot.
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

I don't think that fence will be able to hold back those big thunderheads Pat!! lol
What a great image Pat. It has such depth to it. The clouds themselves appear three dimensional and the angle that you shot this at with the fence in the front really adds a lot of appeal. To my favorites these bad boys go...even thought they mean no harm, I will corral them for awhile ;=)
thanks for sharing these with me!!
Well, I might as well make it unanimous. Looks like you're into high summer already!! What a perfect shot and good luck with your caveat at the end of your narrative. I'm beginning to think about using a watermark of some sort. I could easily see this one on an expensive calendar somewhere!!
Very nice shot. You can almost feel the storm moving in. The way you have the fence in the foreground gives it an interesting perspective. And I really like the lighting on this one. Super job!
I think this is one of your finest images, Pat! Such a beautiful capture in layers of texture and color. It truly paints a picture of your part of the world. A definite keeper!

Here's one of several I missed ... glad I spotted it. Not only do I like the scene you've captured ... the fence is classic "dunstickin" ... but, Good Lord!, what a commentary. Don't know which I like more, the image ... or your eloquent narrative. Bravo Pat.
I can almost hear Vaughn Monroe or Johnny Cash singing "Ghost Riders In the Sky" in the background. What a capture of time you made with this one. Awesome
