Hi Pat, gorgeous sky. Maybe too much dark foreground but I understand that maybe the choice, to get this aspect ratio, was either dark foreground or colour empty sky at the top of the shot.
Wonderful scene Pat..Well composed...It may have payed to use Neat image or Noise Ninja as there is a bit noise noticable in the sky...You must have used a high ISO..The image is excellent..R.
“Life is full of beauty. Notice it. Notice the bumble bee, the small child, and the smiling faces. Smell the rain, and feel the wind. Live your life to the fullest potential, and fight for your dreams.”
Pat - A striking sunset! The yellow and gold hues are beautiful. When my eyes finally get to the upper portion of the photo, I find some noise. As well, I might have cropped some of the dark lower section. Thad
Very beautiful Owd Momma!! I was getting worried about you since you hadn't posted in a few days so I am delighted to see this and know you are alive and still kicking(((((HUGS)))))!!!
Beautiful colors Pat, I think I would have done a bit cropping at the bottom, and for some reason it seems a bit noisy.I might have tried noise removal on the sky. But the colors are striking. Tigs♥ =^..^=
I'm a sucker for sunsets, Pat, and this one is a beauty! I like the sharp contrast provided by the dark foreground. And the color in the sky is terrific. The darker parts of the image are a bit noisy, but it doesn't detract a great deal from the image.

Me too, Pat. Cropping about 1/3rd of the Black from the bottom does improve the balance, with no adverse effects to this dramatic image.
And one of the newer Noise reduction utilities, with the newer algorithms will do an nice job of overall smoothing without affecting the sharpness and detail.
