This pontoon bridge is about 3 miles from my house. I cross over it quite frequently. It raises for boat traffic to pass under. I can't remember the last time a boat came thru here. It's been so long since it was raised I think it would fall apart in a cloud of rust. I like driving over it for the fun of it.

You like to hear the boards clatter.Reminds you off a pump action shotgun..The last time that was raised,Was when Mark Twain wrote Huckleberry Finn...You must remember the Paddle Steamer coming through...Lovely picture by the way...R.

I was imagining how the settlers used a large raft with horses on both side steadying it as they pulled it across the river Owd Momma. That would have been a sight to see.
This one is a sight to see as well. All the beautiful and unusual things we all have close to up to photograph is amazing.

Such a neat looking bridge. I am sure it is fun to ride over. Does it make a humming noise when you do? Hopefully it won't rust so much that you can't get across. Nicely detailed shot and some fine color.
