I found this lovely old southern mansion in Franklin, Louisiana. The owners are in the process of fixing it up. It's beautiful even as is.

If you look close, it needs painting. The paint is peeling on the right end of the house and all the columns have paint peeling.

I have tried to translate Richie's comment above. Think he says that in his imagination he can see sitting you in a rocking chair with a shotgun on your knees observing and protecting your property. If so, you have a beautiful country retreat, Momma, lol.

Whenever we would vacation in the south, the old Mansions always caught my eye. I would take a photo if it was possible. Thanks for taking one for me Owd Momma. It is beautiful and has that quiet dignity that is the South.
