Sometimes I get so tired of the expense of maintaining a home. I'm going to have to replace my roof this month. I could party hardy with the money that will be spent on that project. If I ever lose my house to fire, tornado or hurricane, what you see above is going to be my next house. Ha. Took a trip thru northern Louisiana the other day, an area that was settled in the 1700's. Found this cabin along side the road.

What a super find this one was, looks like it has a metal roof on it, they don't come cheap these days. Good find, and well taken, and I hear ya about the expense of maintaining. tigs=^..^=

The roof still looks sound and there's a well built chimney, so your be warm in the winter. Now you say this could be your next house, you could buy it now and rent it out in the holiday season to English photographers in the meantime. (o:

You better first straighten out that chimney and build a porch so all yer hounds will have some shade, y'know? Other than that it's pretty much ready for a family of 8.
