Think about this: there is no read leading to this mill. The family living here has to cross the water in the boat that is in the front to collect their mail, do their shoppings and even have their carbage collected. Behind the mill is a place that we call "thousand isles". A very nice place to relax in a canoe. But I still wonder what those people use for a toilet....

Wow, in spite of the lack of conveniences this looks like an idyllic place to live! What a beautiful scene you have captured for us!

Very picturesgue and you captured it beautifully. I also have to go a distance to set out my garbage and pick up my mail. It's the trade off for the privacy in the woods.

You could ask. lol It really is a nice place if you want to get away from it all and not be bothered by door to door salesmen. Such a beautiful place and your shot is crystal clear.

What a fantasic scene this is! Besides being technically perfect in every way - it's so interesting to look at and contemplate. It's going straight onto my DT and into my favorites.

Well ... I would give this a 10 ... but now that you mention the lack of 'facilities' ... 9 3/4's ... maybe 9 7/16ths. ;o)

Beautifully composed. Another fine example of your unerring eye at work.

Great detail and clarity ... as per your usual.

I, too, would like to echo that is great to be able to have a window to the world right on my desktop. Truly unique image for me.

Thank you for sharing your talents and your part of the world.

p.s. Ok ok ... a 10 ... for the laugh factored in with your thought provoking narrative, lol.

I supose you will know when guests arrive. Interesting information about the mill. I could live there for a little while. I'm sure I would keep forgetting something and have to row across the river to find it. Is this a working mill or just pumps water out of the fields?

Extremely nice. I really love the overall clearity of the photo. The mill to the left is a nice offset to the rest of the photo. Just overall a fantastic shot. Great fore and mid ground material.

Schitterend sfeerbeeld van een typisch Hollands landschap met molen.Mooie compositie en kleuren.Wat een contrast met de huidige gestresseerde manier van leven.
