No need to point out the bench Paul...Owd Bob zeroes in on these things like a homing pigeon...but enjoy the rest on it after this lovely shot before he gets here...marvellous color and location of solitude.
This series of pictures is makes me feel like a kid again.
I would love to roll down that hill( listening to the great rustling noise leaves make )that you must be standing on here and lay in the leaves and make leaf angels! Then I want to roast marshmallows!
Thank you so much for posting these great photos.
I don’t know if I’m looking at big trees or a little bench. Not that it matters because it’s a mighty fine photo. The light and shadow pattern on the forest floor are rather special.
All of earth is crammed with heaven And every bush aflame with God But only those who see take off their shoes. - Elizabeth Barrett Browning<p>

"Ahhh! It feels so good to sit down for a while. This has been a long walk through the forest. It's been fun, though. I can't rest too long, not a whole day. I want to learn more about photography."....Very nice, Paul. This one will deffinately go into my favs.
Now who put that there? Do you think the deer or the bears were having a picnic? lol I saw this coming in your previous post and wondered if it was a stool. Did you have to climb a tree for this shot, Paul? Nicely done from any elevation.
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

Now that is precious!!Oh I wish I could walk and walk thru this.. A whole forest of beautiful colours surrounding this one little bench...makes me feel like sitting with a special someone and just "saying nothing at all"...this is absolutely delightful. This went straight onto my desktop.. I know a woman to whom this photo will go...she is very ill, in prison, and she loves lonely bench photos...she will be so happy to have this to look at..thank you so much my dear Paul..verena
"I never looked for it, gave it no name; yet I knew it always, when the gift of peace came. I stood quite still for the moment that it lasted...Then the light shifted slightly and the moment passed, leaving me...with the lasting echo of its presence.." Diana Gabaldon
Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual.
