This is a rework of Eggray's image "The Great Escape". He asked for a blue sky but I felt it would be too boring with a bare sky so I added the clouds (thanks to sxc.hu) to give it some much needed depth & balance.

Not having seen the original I have nothing to compare this image with, but, before I read your attached text, I would never have considered it as anything but an original photo with no adjustments other than a little lightening of the bird itself. You say you put these clouds in? Excellent work. Top drawer.

Hehe! Yes, a great job. You chose to replace the entire sky. I didn't think about that ;-)
Note: I added the link to the original image

The clouds give so much more depth to the image - the eagle appears to be going to fly between them
Splendid work :)

Awesome! A very free feeling! You could put the Bible Verse about Wings as Eagles on this! Isaiah 40:31. That would make an awesome pic!

Honestly, I agree with the others. I thought this was a normal photograph until I read your text. Absolutely awesome. Keep it up!

And how could we endure to live and let time pass if we were always crying for one day or one year to come back-if we did not know that every day in a life fills the whole life with expectation and memory and that these are that day? C.S. Lewis, Out of the Silent Planet
