From what I can see of them from a distance, they rather remind me of my granddaughters idea of snowflakes, right down the the five arms they draw on theirs. On the mountain hikes I have taken I always enjoy the patches of wildflowers I have come across. I am sure this was the same for you. The petals look pink but that may simply be the red markings on the petals creating that phenomenon. Very nice capture, Jeff.
