The Kingdoms of the Night is located under the desert dome. Because the night creatures are light-sensitive, the lighting is dim and oddly colored, so you get to enjoy it in black and white.

It is such a cool place down there, looking a bit like a Louisiana swamp at night, with the boardwalks and wire mesh making sure you do not become a snack for a gator. It has been about five or six years since I have been in the ^kingdom.^, and the only aardvark I ever saw was in my sons Mississippi back yard. This fella must have been added since I was there, and your photos are utching me to make a return trip (the next time for a full day). My wife really loves the HDZ as well, and she has been digging your phots that I have been showing her, so thank you for that.
