Paul, the Zen Master Hui-Neng (638 - 713) knew this already for many, many centuries ago, but nowadays a lot of people has forgotten this wisdom or didn't know/realize about this. I've done a lot of presentations of my photographs, mainly to groups of elderly people. I show than only photographs which are taken in the direct vicinity. Often I got the question: "Cornelius, where's this capture taken?" My answer: "Within a distance of two miles where you're living." The reply is often: "Unbelievable." Although in a different context: people should learn to see the beauty that surrounds them in order realize the meaning of life!
If you think you can't accept something, try to change it. But if this doesn't work, don't be frustrated, but give it later another try. The one who perseveres wins!

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
