My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
Nature provides us with so much to see, and you have an excellent example here. Great capture. The details are intricate, delicate, the textures are complex, all add up to a unique creature. As Lyn mentions, go for it!
I think this is a superb choice Raj even better than the tree trunk - not only are the textures and color variation good it's an excellently composed shot.
Before they moved away to a Navy base, my son and his wife had a pair of lizards, textured, yes, but not as thickly as this fellow(?). Add a barbed fin to his back and he'd be right out of a 1950's prehistoric monster movie. You should definitely enter this one in the contest, Raj.
