A man I dated in college spent his summers in Quito, Equador, photographing people and then selling the prints on campus back in the States. Then he took the money he earned back with him the following summer and gave it to the people there. This is a photo of the painting I had a friend of mine do from the original B&W photo. Thanks for taking a look. - Patty

Your college friend sounds like quite a guy ... who took good pictures ... that your artist friend turned into a great painting ... that you turned back into a wonderful photo ... and uploaded as a terrific posting ... Have I got all that straight ? Sheesh ... My head is spinning ... need another cup of coffee.

Just an old "Grampa" who still has a Kodak "Box" camera kicking around the attic ... learning and enjoying the wonders of modern digital photography.

John, I know what you mean - I didn't know how to say it; sorry! Since I don't have the rights to the B&W photo, I can't share that - it would have been a lot simpler. And I wanted to give credit to those other artists as well. Thanks for sorting it all out. - Patty

I think you said it well, Patty. I think it was a quite marvelous thing that your friend did. I wonder if he still does this. Generosity is one of the noblest virtues I can think of anyway.
You have/had some really fine friends. Your artist friend is quite good and I see your image is reflected in back of you and the presentation and explanation are wonderful.
