This is an experiment. I used a trick for portraits that I learned from Scott Kelby´s book ´The Photoshop CS3 Book for Digital Photographers` on this photo of my cat `Snyggve` (Handsome) as a kitten. I would very much like to here what you think of the result.

Why do the pictures come out square when the lens is round??

I am wondering what the trick you learned was. I have two guesses. One, a light background to make the subject stand out, or two, reduced saturation. Just guesses, as I have no idea how to do portraits. Whatever it was you did, it works well. I love the picture of that kitten...we had one like that when I was a kid. Good work, Susanne.

What a sweetie, and nicely photographed too. The muted colour has placed the emphasis on his markings, making for quite a graphic piece.
