Think that the milk can stands there for for only ornamental reasons. Nice compostition of this, probably Swedish, interior, Susanne.
As already said by Bob above, good use of the light and shaded indeed.

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB

I love this glimpse into what looks a most delightful room.
