Don't know what this little building was used for but found it among some trees out in the country. Found it interesting.

I believe it is a ventilator (also known as a cupola) on top of a barn building.These were to let air (and smells) escape and also to ventilate the barn because hay could go on fire if gets too hot in certain areas.

It looks good in amongst the greenery in your photo

I think this is where part of the barn from Kansas ended up when Dorothy was blown away to Oz, Carol.
Very interesting and well photographed.
