I used Da's (Grandpa Tick)new camera to take this picture of the Dragonfly.I used a tripod and 300mm lens.Da was mad because he did not get a picture this good.
Just outstanding Stixx and you are right about Da being mad because he couldn't get one as good. I think steadiness is on the side of the youth. Nice trigger finger and great capture. This should do very well.
Wow ... amazing capture & the detail is magnificent. You did an excellent job & I believe "Da" is probably more proud of you than being mad. Very well done Stixx.
This is a real wowzer. That's a good thing. I wish I could get a close up like that of a dragonfly. Better tell gramps to keep practicing. He'll get it mastered soon. You have done an excellent job, and I bet it gets the attention of the cows, too.
"'Life is not a journey to the grave with the
intention of arriving safely in a pretty
and well preserved body,
but rather to skid in broadside,
thoroughly used up,
totally worn out,
and loudly proclaiming,
"WOW! What a ride!"'
Your narrative made me smile Stixx. On the one hand it's wonderful for a grandad to see a grandson making such wonderful pictures like you did, but on the other hand it makes a granddad a little sad to realise that his best time has gone, lol. I'm talking with some experience as I'm a (proud) granddad too.
Great post my friend. Very well done!!!

Yes I've tried this too Braxx and had the same problem as Da. This is great - lots of detail and no hint of blur. Even with a tripod it's not easy to get these guys. I reckon photography must be in your genes!
Brax, you are most promising artist and Da must be very proud in fact. Needless to say even greatest artists can do with a little bit of good luck and you seem to be gifted also in this respect !!!!
Very nice capture of this guy! Great focus and colors too!!
