Cornelius (corngrowth) posted his photo " Lower Sand Dunes Nature Preserve " in response to my photo "Field in Color". In return I am posting this photo taken in North Truro on Cape Cod next to highland Light. This was taken in mid September and shows some color though not as nice as yours , Cornelius. The ocean is just over the rise. This is more of what I had in mind when you mentioned dunes by the ocean instead of the field photo which was more inland and wooded.

Ive seen all the ones you both have posted. its much like the dunes i have seen. you really have to look close to appreciate the diversity in plant life and color.
