We just visited Turkey and were thrilled to see the Aspendos Theater, built in 155 BC by the Greek architect Zenon. This view is at the top of the theater underneath the arches. Seems like a dramatic photo with the sun and shadows. Always like to hear comments and thanks for taking the time to view.

I know I saw this one before but surprised to not find a comment from me here. During my 33+ year career involving history I developed an appreciation for a wide variety of architecture. These cut block arches are exceedingly nice, and I've long been a fan of perspective and vanishing points. This offset point here, created by that smooth curve makes it a favorite for me. The early civilizations along the Med were impressive, to say the least.
