Our friends have a beautiful stone house in the village of Ariochori, outside of Kalamata, and seeing this window ... it kind of said, please take a photo... so I did. Very much appreciate comments and advice, thanks.
What I get from this shot aside from the reflection is the lighting and time of day you took it. I sense an absolutely beautiful late spring day outside and can almost smell and feel the breeze.
The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
You really have excellent control of low light conditions, Vicki, particularly in terms of contrasts between strong light and dark. I shot photographs professionally for my state for over 30 years, but the contrast control that appears to be so easy for you is something that is still a challenge for me... if this was one of my photos youd likely not be able to see those flowers outside. You make this look easy. =bd= (two thumbs up!) and I agree that you had to shoot this scene. It resonates with the calm of home, security, and quiet; the sort of place one needs to escape from the insanity life.

Vicki, you've done a fabulous job in the perspective and lighting in this image...I also love how we get a peek at the flowering trees outside and their reflection on the table and the shadows on the wall...great work and a fave for me.
Oh I do so like this - the reflection in the table and the fluttering curtains. I can feel the gentle breeze from here. There is just enough mystery about this to make us want to see more, to walk into the picture and look round the corner. Splendid work Vicki !
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
